"Jim" is originally from Mineral City, Ohio. His father brought Jim and the family to Columbia Station in 1962. He is a graduate of Columbia High School. Jim married another Columbia High School graduate (Karen) in 1974. Together they stayed in the community to raise their own family. Jim originally worked the construction trades for most of his adult career. The desire to cook became stronger and stronger and Jim decided it was time to pursue his dream and opened his own catering and concessions business. Originally it started out as a part time pursuit and developed into a full time business venture. Jim has fulfilled one the greatest American dreams. To become his own boss and make an honest living by following his own dreams.
Jim is community oriented individual. Assisting or serving in community sponsored groups. A member of the VFW men's auxiliary, Lions Club, Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Homecoming Committee and the Methodist Church Turkey diners committee. Jim has two children Jim Jr. a Columbia township fireman and scoutmaster for Columbia Troop 176. Sean is a school bus mechanic for Midview schools. Jim's wife Karen is in the United States Army.
Jim was our 2005 Chamber Member of the Year. Jim won this award, because of his endless giving nature and all that he has done for our community and chamber.
