Columbia Charities allow citizens to give back to their community and leave a permanent legacy. If you are thinking about making a charitable gift that will provide an enduring benefit to this community, don’t hesitate to contact us. Whether your donation is large or small, together we can find the right solution.
There are many ways to give to your community:
- General Community Funds as well as Field of Interest Funds targeted at meeting the needs in various sectors of the community.
- If your gift is substantial, you might prefer to establish your own fund, perhaps named for your family or in memory of a loved one.
You will receive a charitable receipt for income tax purposes.

Community Fund
If you wish to give back to the community, but do not have a specific location where you wish to direct your donation, we encourage you to support our Community Fund program.
Contributions to the non-designated Community Fund can be used to help meet a wide variety of ever-changing community needs. This can include future needs that cannot be anticipated at the time a gift is made.
This Community Fund has the flexibility to respond to a range of scenarios, whether it is a community group that comes to use with a brilliant proposal that does not fit within another category, or an important community prior that we would otherwise not be able to support. Also, many social needs in the community come from our Community Fund.
