The Columbia Community Foundation's Columbia Chamber of Commerce Scholarship awards scholarship(s) to deserving graduating high school seniors, including any high school senior living within Columbia Township. A student does not have to be enrolled in Columbia High School, but can be a senior at any accredited school.
Throughout the years, we have had numerous qualified applicants, and have helped many defray their educational cost. The criterion for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Scholarship was founded on encouraging youth to participate in their community.
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is available to any resident of Columbia Township in Lorain County that is a current graduating high school senior aspiring to attend a two-year or four-year college, trade school, technical institute, or other post-secondary education program. To apply for this scholarship, you must submit this application on-line. This application is used to determine how you have made or are making significant contributions as a leader at your school and in your community. One (1) scholarship will be awarded to the winning applicant. Scholarship recipients will be selected based upon their completion of this application, current transcript grades, and answers to the essay questions.

Criteria for Applying for and Receiving this Scholarship:
The applicant must be a current resident of Columbia Township in Lorain County in the state of Ohio.
The applicant must be a current graduating senior in high school or vocational school.
The applicant must be accepted to attend a two-year or four-year college, trade school, technical institute, or other post-secondary education program by the scholarship application deadline.
The applicant will postal mail a current copy of their high school transcript or report card demonstrating their unweighted cumulative grade point average (CGPA) and copy of their school's acceptance letter. Only one current copy of their high school transcript or report card and copy of their school's acceptance letter is required to be submit to fulfill scholarship requirements.
