Lou grew up in Avon, Ohio and graduated from there. He then went to college in California for 1 year and returned to Ohio in 1965. He attended college for a few more years and joined the Navy in 1967. After being discharged from the Navy in 1976, he worked for Gilford Instrument Lab for about a year. He joined the Federal Aviation Administration of Cleveland Hopkins Airport. He spent 24 years with the FAA and finally retired form Oberlin Center in December of 2001.
Lou now spends his free time woodworking, creating wonderful inlaid chess boards and other items he sells. He also operates an internet business from home, dealing in state quarters, which he has been doing since the start of the program. He also will be handling the new Presidential dollar program.
Lou and his wife, Nancy lived in North Ridgeville for 5 years before building their home in Columbia Station. They built their home in 1999 and have enjoyed their home and our community since. Nancy has been an appraiser of residential properties in Cuyahoga, Lorain and northern Medina County for 15 years. Lou helps with the data input, picture taking and final inspections, and managing the home office.
