Wayne is a lifelong resident of Columbia Station where for the last 54 years he has enjoyed being involved in the community. In his earlier years, Wayne attended Columbia Local Schools where he graduated in 1973 and then went on to attend Walsh University located in North Canton Ohio. Wayne graduated in 1977 where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in History, Economics, and Secondary Education.
In
1979 Wayne built his home on the same family farm that he was born and
raised in and went on to marry his wife, Debbie in 1982. Wayne and Debbie recently celebrated their 27 year anniversary. They are blessed to have a daughter, Lori and a grandson, Eli.
Currently
,Wayne is the Vice President of Kokosing Constructions’ Heavy Highway
Asphalt Division where he has also been employed for the last 25 years.
Wayne serves on the Board of Directors State Asphalt Paving
Association. Wayne is also President/Owner of Forevergreen Spruce and
Ornamental Tree Farm that was founded in 1981.
Wayne serves on the Board of Directors for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Columbia Community Foundation. Volunteering his time to these two organizations is something that Wayne views as an honor and privilege. Serving
on these Boards is the way that Wayne shows his appreciation and
gratitude for the lifelong experiences and opportunities that Columbia
Township and Columbia Local Schools have provided to the Brassell
Family.
